All of these engines, except for the hybrid variants, come with a 6-speed automatic transmission for smooth driving experience. The hybrid engines are mated to an Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission (eCVT).

However, the Ford Fusion doesn't just provide entertainment and comfort; it also provides safety and security. There's a suite of available safety aids included, such as Enhanced Active Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, the Blind Spot Information System, and the Lane-Keeping System, among others. A camera mounted behind the windshield can scan road markings helps the Lane-Keeping System detect unintentional lane departure. If it does, then it'll alert you through a series of steering wheel vibrations, keeping you focused and alert on the road.
