2018 Ford EcoSport in Lightning BlueCompact enough for the Easton streets but capable enough for the Stroudsburg mountains, the EcoSport is a highly versatile SUV. Nowhere is that more evident than in the many Ford EcoSport configurations available to drivers in the East Stroudsburg, Lehigh Valley, and Nazareth areas.

There are several ways to make your EcoSport your own, so the team at Ray Price Stroud Ford laid it all out here in this review.

Ford EcoSport Trim Levels

2018 Ford EcoSport PerformanceWhen you decide that the Ford EcoSport is the SUV for you, the next step is to choose your trim level. The EcoSport has four trims available: S, SE, SES, and Titanium.

The S is the base trim and sets a strong foundation, offering standard features like the SYNC® Voice Recognition Communications and Entertainment System as well as a rearview camera.

The other trims each build on this foundation to create a distinct configuration. To learn more about the different trim levels and find the one that's right for your needs, check out our Ford EcoSport Trim Levels Guide.

 Ford EcoSport Configurations: Powertrain

There are several ways to configure the powertrain of your Ford EcoSport to meet your needs, starting with the engines. There are two to pick from, with the 1.0L EcoBoost® I-3 coming standard on the S, SE, and Titanium trims.

The 1.0L EcoBoost® engine generates 123 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a lightweight front-wheel drivetrain (FWD). With this powertrain pairing, you'll get an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 27 MPG city and 29 MPG highway.

Many local drivers prefer the next-level engine because of its drivetrain. It's a 2.0L I-4 that produces 166 horsepower and 149 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with an Intelligent 4-Wheel Drive (4WD) system that actively monitors your driving conditions and automatically redistributes torque as necessary to improve traction.

This engine comes standard on the SES trim and is available on the S, SE, and Titanium trims. It achieves and EPA-estimated fuel economy of 23 MPG city and 29 MPG highway.

EcoSport Interior Configurations

2018 Ford EcoSport PowertrainThe Ford EcoSport interior provides plenty of room to configure the space. To begin, you can fit five passengers comfortably with all the seats upright.

  • With this configuration, you'll have 20.9 cubic feet of cargo space to play with.
  • You can really maximize this trunk area, as well, with the adjustable load floor feature, which is a storage space underneath the cargo area floor. It's lightweight yet durable and made from 100% recyclable cardboard and water-based glue.
  • After your weekly grocery shop, you can keep your eggs safe and in-tact by storing them under the cargo floor while you load your milk, sugar, and sacks of flour on top.
  • If you need a bit more space, you can fold the rear bench seat down flat to access the full 50 cubic feet of available cargo space.
  • You can optimize this area as needed by taking advantage of the 60/40 split rear seat to balance cargo and passengers.
