It's clear that the Ford Explorer looks great on the outside, but we know many drivers in the East Stroudsburg, Lehigh Valley, and Nazareth areas are interested to know what's happening inside the cabin, too.

That's why the team at Ray Price Stroud Ford decided to put together this Ford Explorer interior review for our Stroudsburg and Easton area customers. Keep reading for a quick tour of the interior of the Ford Explorer.

Ford Explorer Interior Seating and Dimensions

Inside the Ford Explorer, you'll find plenty of spacious seating for up to seven people. This SUV features 151.5 cubic feet of passenger volume, giving all three rows plenty of space to stretch out. In fact, the rear row has a total of 33.3 inches of legroom.

Those in the second row have 39.5 inches of legroom, and the front passenger and driver have 49.9 inches of legroom.

If all seven seats are full, you can still bring 21 cubic feet of cargo along for the drive. Fold the PowerFold® third-row seats down with the press of a button to reveal 43.9 cubic feet of space. With both rear seats folded flat, you can bring along 81.7 cubic feet of cargo.

The third row features a 50/50 split and the second row has a 60/40 split, so you can divide the space between passengers and cargo any way you need for a great weekend getaway.

Ford Explorer Interior Infotainment

The Ford Explorer is packed full of infotainment technology features that can help make your drives around town even more convenient and enjoyable. For example, the standard SYNC® Voice Recognition Communications and Entertainment System comes standard. This includes Bluetooth® connectivity for hands-free access to phone calls and music streaming.

For complete smartphone integration and access to your favorite apps that have been optimized for use on-the-go, you can upgrade to the SYNC® 3 infotainment system, which comes with Android Auto™ or Apple CarPlay™.

All information, like incoming calls and turn-by-turn navigation, is available on the 8-inch color touchscreen.

On a particularly long road trip, passengers can stay entertained with the Rear Seat Entertainment System by VOXXHirschmann. They can recline the second-row seats back and get comfortable while settling in to watch a DVD.

Visibility Features

Whether you're moving through traffic or parking in a crowded lot, you'll find improved visibility and capability thanks to cameras that watch your back and your front. The standard rearview camera with backup assist grid lines gives you a clear view of the space directly behind your vehicle. The gridlines help you back your way into a parking space with ease, while color markings will indicate your distance from any objects behind you.

If you're trying to turn out of an aisle of a busy parking lot or enter a tight city road, the available 180-degree camera can help you look both ways before crossing the street. It improves your visibility by giving you an extended, panoramic view of the area directly ahead of you.
