Seating Capacity and Cab Styles in the F-150
As you'll see when we start discussing the trim levels, the Ford F-150 is meant to conform to any daily needs. This is reflected in the size and shape of the truck, too, something you can alter by choosing the exact cab style you want.
The cab options are as follows:
- Regular Cab with a maximum seating capacity of three passengers
- SuperCab with a maximum seating capacity of six passengers
- SuperCrew with a maximum seating capacity of six passengers
Each cab also comes with its own set of pickup box styles. So, if you choose the Regular Cab, you're looking at either a 6.5-foot style side pickup box or an 8-foot setup. The smaller pickup box results in a 122.8-inch wheelbase for your truck while the larger box results in a 141.5-inch wheelbase for the 2021 F-150.
The SuperCab is the same way, offering a 6.5-foot style side pickup box and another box measuring eight feet. The wheelbase lengths are different than that of the Regular Cab, though. With the 6.5-foot style side box, your F-150 will have a 145.4-inch wheelbase. Moving to the 8-foot arrangement leads to a wheelbase of 164.1 inches.
Finally, we have the SuperCrew which deletes the option of an 8-foot pickup box. Instead, the SuperCrew features a 5.5-foot pickup box and the usual 6.5-foot option. If you opt for the smallest pickup box the 2021 F-150 offers, the 5.5-foot arrangement, the wheelbase of your truck will measure 145.4 inches. Going instead with the 6.5-foot style side pickup box stretches the wheelbase to 157.2 inches in the SuperCrew setup.
2021 Ford F-150 Interior Dimensions
Next up, we'll be taking a look at the Ford F-150 interior dimensions-most notably its legroom, hip room, headroom, and shoulder room.
If we start with the legroom, you'll find 43.9 inches in the front row and 43.6 inches in the rear seats in the SuperCrew cab. Headroom is similarly generous, measuring in at 40.8 inches up front and 40.4 inches in the second row.
As for shoulder room, there's 66.7 inches in the front and 66 inches in the second row. Finally, the hip room will make long car rides easy on everyone, with its 62.5 inches of room up front and 62.6 inches of room for 2nd-row passengers.
